Delhi is the capital city and Union territory of India having rich past. Tourists from all over the world come here to see the glory of India. India Gate:

The war memorial made of granite and red sandstone is the pride and prestige of India.  Originally called as All India War Memorial, India Gate was constructed by Sir Edwin Lutyens to give honor to the 82000 brave soldiers of the Indian Army. These soldiers were lost their lives in the Third Anglo-Afghan War and in The First World War.

Red Fort

Red Fort was the residence of Mughal Emperors for 200 years or more than this. In 2007, it was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The foundation stone of huge walled fort was laid down by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. In the fort, tourists get amazed to see the spectacular light and sound show which shows the rich history of the fort.

Qutab Minar

The construction of 73 meter high minaret was started by Qutub al-Din Aibak in 1192 and was completed in 1220. Qutab Minar is the five-storey tower having 379 steps arranged spirally. It was also recommended as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple is one of the Bahai Houses of Worship. The temple resembles the White coloured Lotus Flower with 27 free-standing petals all of which are clad with marble.

Rashtrapati Bhawan

Rashtrapati Bhawan is the residence of President of India made in 130 hectare of the area and consisting of beautiful and large Mughal Garden.

Best time to visit

Climate is normal here i.e. hot in summer and cool in winter, so, plan a trip according to your convenience. Choose harsh sunny days or chilly winter, all depends on your choice.
